# Creative MCP > Creative MCP is an open collection of local Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that connect AI agents and MCP clients to creative software: Adobe MCP for InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro, and Blender MCP for Blender. Servers run on the user's own machine over stdio; nothing is hosted. Key facts: - Adobe MCP: five app-specific Node.js servers (Node.js 18+, macOS or Windows) plus a Suite coordinator for two documented Illustrator-to-InDesign workflows. npm: `adobe-mcp-suite`. Homebrew: `brew install zachshallbetter/tap/adobe-mcp` (v0.3.0). Source: https://github.com/zachshallbetter/adobe-mcp (MIT). - Blender MCP: a Rust MCP server and CLI with a companion Blender add-on (Blender 4.0+); `blender-mcp addon install` installs and turns on the add-on. Homebrew: `brew install zachshallbetter/tap/blender-mcp` (v0.5.1). Source: https://github.com/zachshallbetter/blender-mcp-rs (MIT OR Apache-2.0). - The projects are independent. A client can load both, but moving files between Adobe apps and Blender is a user-managed handoff. - Capability status is reported as Documented, Implemented, Tested or Validated; those levels are distinct and a lower level never implies a higher one. - Created by Zach Shallbetter (https://zachshallbetter.com/). - Website, docs and the series catalogue (https://creativemcp.com/registry.json) are open source at https://github.com/zachshallbetter/creative-mcp. - Each tool has its own repository and release cycle; they share the Homebrew tap `zachshallbetter/tap`. One installer sets up the series: `brew install zachshallbetter/tap/creative-mcp` then `creative-mcp setup` (detects apps and MCP clients, installs, registers only what is missing, verifies; safe to rerun; macOS fully supported). `creative-mcp doctor` checks servers, running apps and client registrations; `creative-mcp update` and `creative-mcp remove` handle the rest. The installer is built from the catalogue. How the MCP server connects, its conventions and setup. - [After Effects implementation](https://creativemcp.com/docs/implementations/aftereffects.html): Drive After Effects from an AI agent: compositions, layers, keyframes, expressions, effects, text and the render queue. Setup, connection and configuration. - [Premiere Pro implementation](https://creativemcp.com/docs/implementations/premiere.html): Drive Premiere Pro from an AI agent: sequences, timeline edits, markers, effects, captions and export, through a local UXP bridge. Setup and configuration. - [Suite coordinator implementation](https://creativemcp.com/docs/implementations/suite.html): The Adobe MCP Suite coordinator runs the app servers together and automates two handoffs: placing Illustrator artwork and copying swatches into InDesign. - [Shared core implementation](https://creativemcp.com/docs/implementations/core.html): The shared core behind every Adobe MCP server: argument and path safety, script execution, structured results, tool annotations and static script auditing. - [Blender MCP implementation](https://creativemcp.com/docs/implementations/blender.html): Blender MCP pairs a Rust MCP server with a Blender add-on so AI agents can work with scenes and assets. Install with Homebrew; setup and safety notes. ## Optional - [Capability Atlas](https://creativemcp.com/capability-atlas.html): A researched map of 12,014 documented features across five Adobe apps: which can be automated, by what route, which MCP tools cover them, and the evidence. - [Features](https://creativemcp.com/features.html): Search the Adobe MCP feature inventory across InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro, with routes, tool mapping and evidence. - [Workflows](https://creativemcp.com/workflows.html): Worked examples of Adobe MCP and Blender MCP in real creative projects, with automated steps and human-managed handoffs clearly marked. - [Privacy](https://creativemcp.com/privacy.html): What creativemcp.com measures with Google Analytics, what it stores in your browser, and how to opt out.
